Garrett Euro Ace 350

Had have my Euro Ace for a couple of months and its a great machine except for trashy sites. It drives me crazy...all this old pull tabs or screw tabs that I have dug up.Its fine in older places. But when it comes to beaches or parks its just horrible.I have the factory DD-coil only.Maybe a smaller coil will help me be more spot on to the coins. But hey,its seeks deep, really deep.Dug a small 10 ore(Sweden)silver coin from 1887, 10 inch down, couldn't believe it.When I have hit thus old "pancake"-coins(2 inch size) from 1600 century the tone is sooo clear, there is no doubt. A lot of copper coins from 16-17 and 1800 century is common in my surroundings.Specially under old oak trees. My brother use a Mine lab X-Terra 705 and that is a killer machine. He always check my found a can by a number say if its crap or coin and also he have the back light display for dim conditions,it is a thing I really miss on my Garrett.
So if there is any advice to skip digging to much junk I would be very grateful. Tried All metal but I go crazy from all the signals, maybe its a learning curve:)

Thanks!

I have tested that, but without success.Tonight I went out on the nearest cow pen.It has a lot of old oak trees.Found two buttons,a pin and an old 1 krona from 1875 silver and a copper coin 1627 under an old oak. I was running on maximum sensitivity and had no problem with trash since its not that kind of area.
Its great fun to work this kind of place.Only problem is to get permission from the county administrative board. Cu's we are not allowed to use our metal detectors without a specific permission, that is limited in time also. This law was settled in 1991 and now they have discussion to ease the law.
Americans used to have groups of metal detectors coming over to the treasure Island Gotland in the -80s. There is still problems with unserious people digging up wikingtreasures by night. Its actually the island in the world who is loaded with old silver and gold coins. Its even forbidden to take in a MD to the Island.

I remember the early -80s when I bought my Compass Coin Magnum, expensive for the time.It gave me a lot of fun and as I remember it was easy to find gold rings, necklaces. I still have over a thousand of old coins and a box of silver-gold rings. But really I found more with my first detector also a Compass
440 I think it was.Had a 12inch coil that was heavy as hell.

But again, thanks Uncle Willy,I will try your recommendations on trashy sites.

For those trashy areas, just get a sniper coil. You will dig much less trash, and you won't lose much, if any depth. A sniper coil for any of the Ace series will work with your machine.
