I sent my GMH CX lll back to Garrett for a tune up and was contacted by the repair dept. today and informed that repairs had been made, both coils had been checked out and the CXlll had passed a three phase test, field test, bench test and a circuit test. At this point I had taken a seat waiting for the repair cost to be announced. I was shocked, NO CHARGE and to beat that Garrett is not even charging for shipping. And believe it or not again, Im not the original owner. Their customer service is second to none IMO. Best of luck to all.

That is awesome news! I expect my CX III to arrive in tomorrows mail, just in time for the Arctic Blast. Keep me posted on the improvement in the detector!
