Garrett counter to ctx3030?

Does anyone else think that Garrett will have a new machine out by next year to counter the ctx3030? Surely they couldn't afford not to?

All thay have to do is take the AT Pro or AT Gold and add about three pounds of useless weight to it. And raise the price four times.

Kinda cost prohibitive for most detectorists. For $3000, the thing better kiss me goodnight and make me coffee in the morning!!

Of course, who says Garrett should try to take on the CTX3030? Too soon to tell if it's going to be all that great. I do believe they should try to take on the ETRAC. A lighter, imaging detector with 3 or 4 frequencies and the fine tune ability of a V3i. Would be nice.

The 3030 looks like it'll be a good detector (already own an Explorer though) but personally, I'd prefer to buy an AT Pro. Although I'm in the process of buying another non Garrett detector, I think that the AT will be my next purchase. I was very impressed with it when I used it and it doesn't weigh a tone either.

[size=large]i go with bcd. not asking much. i have learned to accept the machine that will find the treasures in my area and that ain't much. selling all my machines except the ATP.

muti- frequency machine like the explorer and etrac (my explorer works great going from dry sand right into wet sand with no problem at the beach with the salt water)

For $3000 the machine better do alot more than find coins and gold! But then what else is there? :)-)
