Garrett Carrot and XP Deus

Anybody know of a frequency adjustment on either detector to eliminate the chatter I hear in my headphones when I use my pin-pointer? It's not overwhelming but I'm used to muting my MX5 before I pinpoint.
 
what frequency are you running you could do a shift on the deus and see if that helps but my pin pointer doesnt do that .
 
When I set the Deus down to find my target and know I am going to use the Garrett Carrot I lay my machine down an arms length ahead of me . Most of the time that cuts down on the chatter.
 
I am not sure if its that I have been mostly hunting at 18 KHz but I have not noticed any interference from the Carrot.

i mostly hunt in 12K and my buddies carrot drives my machine crazy but my carrot does not. Go figure. I don't know why that is but I'm glad one of them works ok for me. I have tried to do the frequency shift in 12K but it doesn't help. I wish the carrot was tunable and I have thought of contacting Garrett to see if it can be.
 
What throws me for a loop is the interference doesn't seem to be predictable. I have times when I can't run both my Carrot and Deus at the same time because the interference is so bad, then at the same place next time it is quiet as a mouse. When I am getting the noise I can change to all the different frequencies and it makes no difference, and site doesn't matter.
 
The frequency shift helps usually.
But on one coil I have to shift the frequency to the left, on the other coil to the right to get the device silent. This is me, my Deus and my carrot alone ;)

I have the Carrot and the TRX pin pointers, The Deus does not like either one in 12 KZ mode but both work well with the Deus in 4, 8, and 18 KZ.

Did you try Frequency shift for the 12 KHz?
