Garrett BFO

wow, I never seen that one!!!

Nice unit. It amazes me how many of the late 60's and early 70's units are still working. I had a Garrett Hombre that had no discrimination and had two combo coils. One was 3 1/2" and 8" and the other was 5" and 12". Quite a machine! I gave it to friend in 1973 and he still uses it occassionally. Here is a picture of my first BFO unit manufactured by a Florida High School science teacher, Jim Ford, and was purchased by my wife as a Christmas gift in 1969 (it still works too). Just like the Garrett he made combo coil units too. Thanks for sharing! This brings back many memories of my early days with Garrett BFO's. Here's to "diggin it"! LARRY
