Garrett AT Pro Video Screen Glare

I can't believe a company would put a video out trying to sell their product and be so lackadaisical about there being so much glare on the screen.

Are they trying to demonstrate what it will really look like in the field?

Does it look like that in the field?

Otherwise they did a very good job in their video presentation.

The reason being - the screen lense is thick as part of the waterproofing and distorts the light and makes the display difficult to read. They need to redesign the display, use another color scheme, or install a backlight to make the display easier to read. Seems there wasn't a whole lot of thought that went into the design of the display. Aside from the digital readout I can't see anything on the display without using reading glasses which is a real pain with earphones. We old farts don't have eagle eyes anymore.

I have been hunting for many years, and thoroughly enjoy the audio on the AT Pro. I hardly even look at it, as after it's been set up to my preferred specs, I hunt by audio only, as do a lot of others. You will figure it out as you get some experience under your belt and build up some self confidence. The AT Pro is more complex then an Omega too....

I don't think it's our eyes. They're just making everything blurry nowadays.

Actually these are -- Washable and Reusable: Never need to buy another screen protector again. Silicone Adhesive Coating: No glue residue when removed.

Nice..

Hey, thanks for the tip TN Mike. That sounds great! I've found that wearing sunglasses with polarized lenses really helps alot to cut down on the glare on machines I've used that have a glare.
Thanks again!:wiggle:Happy Hunting!:)

I always wear glasses when I hunt, be it regular perscription or prescription sunglasses. I don't have any problem using 'phones with them. Frankly, if one needs glasses to read, they probably need to wear glasses all the time anyways, them blurry road signs are the worst. Get some with wire frames and earpieces and you should do just fine. The design of the AT is sweet and is easily readable. If the displays were any bigger the control housing would be a lot bigger too, and that would be a probelm when we start hitting the water with them. You guys get some glasses and quit grousing about the design. We're all a little old to be concerned with our vanity!!!

I love the at pro First month found about 400 clad Also found 18 wheaties and 2 silver rosies and I hate winter and don't get out as much as usual. I don't think any detector is perfect but this is pretty good for the price and as deep or deeper than most and easy to use also
