Garrett AT pro headphone question

Active member
hello everyone, I am thinking of getting a AT pro mainly for water use and wondering about the waterproof headphones? How many people use the waterproof headphones? How many people out there just wade with the regular headphones? Also for the people that have the waterproof headphones what is the sound quality like? Does anybody snorkel while using the AT pro? Thanks guys and HH.

I took one of those cheap closed cell kneepads and cut two ovals out to put up in the earcups to sort of knock down the sound..it works great...I keep them on the detector all the time, I like the fact that they truly make this an All Terrain Vehicle...toss it in the boat, back of the truck, out in the rain with no worrys..I carry a mask and fins, weight belt, snorkle, waders...all the gear for any situation..I will be converting the Garrett land headphones plug over to use on a differrent detector this weekend...I dont think i'll ever use them on this ATPro, the water ones work very well. Yes, my ATPro is mainly for water use, so I think the waterproof phones was a good investment, since as we know being around water, things are going to get wet..and I needed a new set of phones for my land unit anyway..
