I hit a couple of different locations this morning to see what I could unearth. Right off I found a 1941 Mercury Dime near a shrub bed. It was surround by some nails but it give off enough of a high tone to make me investigate. The next silver coin that I found was next to a sidewalk was a 1950 Washington Quarter. There was junk all around it, but I decided to once again check out the high tone that was just barely breaking through. I'm glad that I did because that quarter was a pretty sight coming out the ground. The last silver coin that I found was a 1937 Mercury Dime. It was on a steep slope, it give a clear high tone audio and was locked onto a 83 VDI. I just knew that it was a silver dime before I even dug. A long the way I also found a bunch of Wheat Pennies (1950, 1939, 1923, 1946, 1953, 1947, 1951, 1942, 1945, 1950, 1953) and some other neat stuff. I had great the day and the weather was wonderful. I was using the 5 x 8 inch coil, full sensitivity and the pro zero mode. About 7 inches on a dime is its max in my soil. Some of those audio signals today were just barely coming through.

Thanks. It was neither, it was an older part of town. I like hunting along the grassy strips between the curb and sidewalk. Sometimes it rewarding.

The other one was just a tease :poke:....all the signs of potential silver finds, but none. Today you got the real deal!:super: Nice bunch of silver coins. Well done!

Interesting comments in regard to the coil, and congrats on those silvers. There's nothing like a fat old 40's 50's silver quarter to brighten ones day. :detecting:

Well there you go! That was a huge silver day to make up for that one dry one a few back...:clapping: Fine work and lots of good info in your posts Tab, thanks!:please:

Thanks everyone. I get a super big rush every time I find silver, but I fall back on my butt and put a big grin on my face when I find a big ole gold ring.:)

I'm hung up on 5 or 6 gold rings for the year. I'm due for one any day now! I just keep digging those pull tab signals by the thousands. It's madding, but fun.

If there is silver, gold won't be far behind. Excellent day, tabman. Congratulations. Wish I could say I'd found that many gold rings this year, but it ain't over yet. HH
