I went out for a little while this morning to see if I could find some silver coins. I got into the wheat pennies ( 1955,1951, 1948, 1951, 1946, 1948, 1956, 1945, 1952, 1954, 1945 ) so I knew it would be just a matter time before I would unearth a silver coin. I also dug a bunch of clad and copper coins and nearly every time I thought it would be silver coin. I went almost the entire hunt with no silver. Finally, a got high tone with a VDI reading in the mid to high 80's and popped a almost new 1964 Washington Quarter. It was newer than all the wheat pennies. I was worn down, so I called it a day. I was using the Pro Zero mode with full sensitivity.

Nice to see some silver staring back at me. ;)

It was a glorious sunshiny day. Mid to upper 40s with calm winds. My kinda of detecting weather:).

Thanks. I got a pint jar of wheat pennies filled to the rim soaking in olive oil. When I start popping them, I know I'm in the right area for silver coins.

I'm rubbing my Genie right now. I need a silver half dollar.:)

It's a nice feeling to at least pop a silver at the end. It can feel like a marathon when ya get worn down before one shines back at ya.
Congrats!
