Everything mechanical was replaced when I sent this unit into Garrett for repair last year. New control box, inside and out. New coil. Although this is an original 504 s/n unit, the only things Garrett didn't replace were the rods, handle grip and arm cuff. And the arm cuff isn't that old, it's the newer ribbed style that isn't prone to breaking like the original AT cuff did on this detector. Also the upper rod is the improved longer one, not the original "short arm" variety.
The detector works perfectly and is in good shape cosmetically. The worst wear is on the sponge handle grip, not a big deal, I just never got around to getting a replacement since it's still quite functional. Screen is clean and unscratched. The coil cover broke when I took it off to clean the coil before selling and is not included, but the coil was always used with a cover so the bottom of the coil is is also clean and unscratched.
Includes Garrett headphone adapter so you can use any headphones you want. Also a new set of 4 Energizer batteries and the 2 page Garrett repair order from April 2014.
The AT Pro is an excellent detector with exceptionally descriptive audio. I've been using the AT Pro and speaking highly of it for over 4 years. The only reason I'm selling is that I have two - one I keep the stock coil on and the other the 5X8 - and I've decided I don't feel like saving the occasional coil change justifies having two of the same detector anymore.
Depth wise and in every other way I can tell no difference between the two units I have, This one is in a little better cosmetic shape and newer mechanically.
