Garrett AT Max Coil To The Soil Depth Test....Silver Dime, Quarter & Half Dollar:detecting:

This is how the AT Max does in my soil. You might get even better depth, or less. A larger coil should get you even more depth.

Because I was after maximum depth. There is no reason to do a test in discriminate mode, as we all know we lose some depth. And depth should never be the number one reason for purchasing a machine. The AT MAX is a simple, turn on and go metal detector with some great features. Anyone can use it in a short period of time. And the AT Series has proven themselves time and time again. The AT MAX is yet a better metal detector, both on land and in the water with the best features of both AT Pro/AT Gold.

Didn't the Hoover boys do a video on the disc mode depth? I'm sure they did and it did very good.. also compared max and gold in all metal... Look it up Cal a bash

Actually from the response I heard on the targets from the Hoover boys vid I heard better responses in zero mode from the max.. I heard clearer tones and stronger response. I also heard a better response in all metal. With wireless headphones, some added depth, volume control, all metal, etc I doubt they will have any trouble selling.. and yes all manufacturers use marketing to sell their products. That's a given.. I don't sweat the small stuff.. as long as it works as it's supposed to. I know several of you guys are pushing the deus and That's great, but of the ones I've seen used I have no interest in..

This is a Garrett forum sponsored by Garrett and John has always been a Garrett guy. He is not an unbiased user of different detectors and makes no bones about that. I don't think he has anything to be ashamed of.

FWIW, John has posted numerous AT Max depth graphs. One he posted showed a mercury dime with the 5X8 coil air tests at 9" in discriminate mode. That's the same air test depth as my AT Pro.

John (and the other mods on Finds) are unpaid volunteers. He deserves appreciation for all that he contributes, rather than complaints about what he doesn't.

I'm gonna buy one when they come out and depth test it in disc mode against the gold in my soil and film it so ill have a video of the substantial depth increase as soon I can get my hands on one. So no worries. Sorry if I offended anyone...
