Can anyone tell me what the operating frequency is for a Garrett American AM-2 is ? I have a guy that wants me to put a Garrett Ground hog coil on this AM-2. The Ground hog runs on 15 khz and I don't think that the AM-2 is that low. I thought that the AM-2 ran at 98 khz. Send me a PM Thanks Steve in Idaho

Info from Garrett catalogue 1986 p15.
Operating frequency on both American AM-2 and Gold Hunter is 15 kHz, there was 3 optional coils.

Ground Hog and Gold Stinger also used 15kHz.......check plug and pins.
