Garrett ADS VLF/TR Deepseeker Battery tray & Batteries

Recently inherited my father's Garrett Deepseeker. I know this is an old, outdated unit, but I would really like to start hunting with my fathers detector. However, it is missing the batteries, tray and charger. Is there anyone who might know how and where i can obtain these. Thank-you for any help you can give me.

I think you can get what you need from garrett (800) 527-4011
They still stock the battery tray for my 1981 groundhog

The Deepseeker is a monster but it was and still is a great machine. I just bought Costco sized bucket of 9 volts and never bothered with rechargeable.

Enjoy it!

Thank-you for the info. I should have thought of that myself. I tried to contact the Garrett dealer here in Va. Beach and about all they did was chuckle. Once again many thanks.

Now that "IS" the solution to one of my problems. Y'all are great. I think I'm going to enjoy my new endeavor, with people like you to get beginners help from.

Hi. I have a Garrett ADS III that I purchased new in
1983. Works great, except for the 4-battery battery tray.
The Molex pins are pulling out of the female connector.
Very aggravating. Has anyone made a fix for this
problem? I can't reinstall the clips, I've tried. Tried using
small bits of balled up tin foil, but not really good
results. Any ideas? Garrett has the 6 battery tray for $29.00, but that's a last resort. It is the plug in rechargeable tray with the female socket, model 16047. Thanks.
