"Bout ding dang time, I say.

Hummm, except for the color, it looks pretty much
the same as the yellow one I bought a few months ago
from a different source.. Maybe Garrett contracted
them to make them for Garrett? The one I have looks
the same, except that it's yellow with the black vinyl
piping around the front. Has little velcro hold straps,
but I usually don't use em. They fit tight enough you
don't even need to lock the velcro straps. I leave
mine on all the time. Protects the buttons from dirt.
Also protects from scratches if it falls over.
Worth the money if you are in wet or dirty areas a lot.

My local dealer sold me this one. It doesn't seem like it is made for the 250. It fits sloppily. I tightened it up with some strategically place Velcro.

All those rain covers are nice and shore do look pretty, especially to the "Five Finger Discount" crowd...

SO, how about this model, newly done up in not-so-fashionable pink bubble wrap and TWO, count 'em TWO, kinds of tape:

- Indestructible Thermopoly orange
- Tried and True Silver duct.

It comes complete with a replaceable produce bag clear plastic face. It is the final word in ultra-modern, Junkque Chic!

It is impervious to dust, rain, shock, and longing stares from crack heads, con-men and clip thieves. Best of all is the low, low cost: just about nuttin'.

Okay it aint pretty, but it's other qualities make up for that. Im thinking of calling it the 'Revis Wraparound," in honor of the guy who gave me the idea.

To borrow a phrase from our good buddy Jeff Foxworthy:

"If your rain cover is made from bubble-wrap and duct tape...you might be a Redneck."

P.S. If you look closely, you can also see the latest in detector upgrades, the patented "Silicone Rubber-Bumper PinPoint Modification." Don't delay, get yours TODAY!

Dave, it's to bad you gotta mess up that purdy thang to change batteries:rofl:

Ahhh, but that is another of the well thought out design features. The top is held together with polythermo tape which can be undone to access the battery cover. Then put the tape back back and yore in business.

The guy who desinged this thing is a certified genius - well, certifiable, anyway.
