Group,

I have never owned a garrett. I currently have a E-trac and F75LTD2. I want a detector to complement what I already have. Like to spend least amount of money. Should I get an AT pro or ace 400? Can the coins from an ACE 350 be used on a ACE 400? Just some ideas?

I would say the at pro , and hit the water,

All the coils designed for the ACE 150, 250 and 350 will work on the 200, 300 and 400 machines. Just remember to have the detector turned off when you change the coil (never run your detector without a coil attached) and do a factory reset when the new coil is attached so that the detector recognises the coil that is currently on it.

The AT Pro and AT Gold will not work with the ACE series coils.

Thanks for the info. I am still leaning towards the 400. It just seems to have some good features for low cost.

All the coils on the ACE Series are interchangeable. I have done well with the ACE 400. But, I prefer the AT Pro, as has better ID characteristics. You will do well with the ACE 400, after you put some hours on it,

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Use from 4 months 400 ì, wonderful for me, for now I use only in the last 5 coin discrim notches., maximum sensitivity disturbed Senon or 1 notch in less very simple to use, lightweight, low cost, much less than those of the high cost and better job, from kellico good price better than Italy
good hunting

For the amount of money that you want to spend, I would go withe the Ace 400. I am thinking of getting one...maybe?

I also have an etrac and a 1280x. I got a atpro late this summer and omg this machine is the best.
I have been detecting for over 30 years and can not believe how well this does.
I took few years off from water hunting because the 1280 is so heavy and only one tone.
The atpro is a killer. Went to a beach that never gives up gold and came away with 5 gold.
So, if you want to hit the water the atpro is the way. For land the atpro is super and very easy to
pinpoint.
My vote AT Pro
Good luck and happy hunting.
