Hello All,

New to detecting and looking to purchase my first detector..I like the looks and price of the Ace 350. Claims to everything I'd like to do....Coins, Jewelry, and ability to find Gold jewelry.Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks Dave

Welcome Dave, I just bought the 350, It's been very good to me so for, the coil however will take so getting use to when it comes to pinpointing. It's very sensitive, If your new, I Would play around in the zero mode first to learn how all the tones are, but first time out hunting with it I would start in the coin mode for the first few times. Great Detector for the price, Really you just can't go wrong with a Ace 350 or 250

If I can be any help let me know!!!

Hi Dave, Hot Texas posted some pics of his first hunt, not a bad haul. I just ordered the ace350 last week.I have the ace250. the 350 is just a small step up but I wanted something new to play with and cant afford the one I want yet so I look forward to playin' with the 350. Welcome to the forum. You might want to consider the pro pointer when your ready to buy a pinpointer. No settings,no nonsense. one button, push it, its on, push it again its off. Good luck,Happy hunting and let us know how you like the Ace350.

The 350 or the 250 for $212 will do you well. I just posted some finds a few moments ago.
The 250 has a 6.5 khz coil and the 350 an 8.2 khz coil. Its a small difference in sensitivity
but for some people thats all it takes. I'll probably get the AT-Pro soon. The 350 is just about the same as
my 250 in my opinion so I'll pass on it.

For the price, your not going to get a better detector in my opinion and the coils on the 250 will operate on the 350.

Good luck
Katz

Welcome to our friendly little group. The 350 would be an excellent choice and would reward you well. Easy to learn, easy to use, and a real goodie getter. The coil is actually a piece of cake to pinpoint with once you understand how a DD works. You couldn't do much better than the 350.

Hi gang, I just joined and I have a question. I'm new to detecting( May of this year) I I'd like to know what the difference is between a DD and lets say a reg. round coil.

The DD is a Little more sensitive to small objects and separates targets better because it search pattern is more like a knife edge that goes into the ground, the round coil are mostly
concentric configuration, the pattern is more rounded the goes into the ground.

You can read more about them here.

Hope this helps!!!!

Thanks to everyone who replied. It seems like I'm making a good choice....Now where to purchase.....I keep going back to the Kellyco site?...What the feeling on that?..I'm sure I'll be back with many questions and hope to have something to show....Thanks Dave
