Garrett ace 250

Well I am still new to this but I started with discovery 3000 late last year. Early this year I bought a pioneer 202. I hunted as much as possible when the weather would allow. last week I got a Garrett ace 250. Went back over what I had hunted with the other 2 detector and in the last 5 day have found 17 coins. No comparison!!! Garrett rules in my book!

John, the Garrett ace 250 is a capable machine and a very popular choice for those new to the hobby. It is a machine that will not be outgrown too quickly due to its performance which makes it good value for money as well.....it's good to see you enjoying this great hobby and I hope you keep finding those coins.
All the best,neil.

The Ace 250 is the best entry level detector out there.
Garrett made a wise decision when he made a low cost
detector that incorporated the features of a $350 and $400
machine into a well built detector. In so doing he captured
a huge market share. No one else has been able to touch
him. There are some other Manufatures out there with nice
entry level machines but no where near the Garrett 250.
I had mine for 7 years and never a problem. I just traded up
to the Ace 350. All the coils from the 250 work with the 350.

You will probably want to get the Super Sniper coil; it's not
that expensive. Also the 9x12 is great for covering more area,
and deeper targets in the relic mode.

Good luck with youor machine.

I purchased the ACE-250 as a backup for my Sovereign GT and to have for my Grandchildren to use when they visit if they should want to go dirt fishing with Grandad. I always carry the 250 with me when I go detecting. At times I use it in instead of taking the time to put a smaller coil on the GT. I find it works well when coin/jewelry hunting. Excellent Little Machine.
