Is there a any big difference between the ace 250 and 350? I have a 250 now i was thinking about getting tha 8.5x 11 dd coil for it or would i be better off buying a 350?:starwars:

I think you would like the 350 with the stock coil. I have read good things about both. I was thinking about getting the 8.5x 11 for my 250, but I changed my thinking as far as money is concerned for a coil. And from reading a lot of post about the 350, its the way to gofor an upgrade . I need a back up detector, I have the ATPro and need a second , I think I am going to buy another ATPro . But the 350 has been sandwiched in and smothered between the 250 and ATPro. For the money , I think you cant go wrong

Coil and Frequency...... 350 is a bit higher freq. Let me know if you have any other questions. Love to help!

I have been using the 350 for about 8 months, and just yesterday got a 250 to have as a backup. I put the 350 DD coil on the 250 and hunted it today. It does really good. Was hunting a ballfield, and found a ton of clad. The 250 will show you the difference in a penny, dime, quarter, half, and dollar. The 350 gives more information in the iron area, but has a penny, dime/quarter, half/dollar icon. I kinda like the 250 more in that aspect, but I mainly hunt coins. I haven't used the 250 enough to say for sure, but I didn't notice the 350 to be any deeper than the 250 (both using the 350 DD coil). I also have a 10x14 coil, and I think that if I could have only one, I'd get the 250 and the 10x14 coil.

I don't know, man. With the price of that 8.5"x11"DD being $118.96 plus $9.95 shipping = $128.91, you may as well just get that Ace 350 for $297 shipped (KellyCo prices). 350 comes with that 8.5"x11"DD stock.
Then again, KellyCo's sellin' that 10"x14"DD Exellerator for $99.95 plus $9.95 shipping now(must go to Ace metal detector web page on KellyCo's site to get this price). No other purchase necessary. That's one HOT search coil!:hot: Happy Hunting!:)

Here is a pretty good air test video of the two machines with standard coils.
