Garrett 350 to a Quantum 2

I was just curious is there any Quantum 2 owners that could share an exciting find or two that they have landed using the Quantum 2. It seems to be a break away of the eagle and a step before the XLT. I do have history with Whites products. First was a rental about five years ago to find a family members ring at the beach. We found it on the last day when tides were favorable. Second was last year a borrowed DFX my bosses I found a men's gold wedding band. So history wise both expierences amounted to positive product endorsement. I am currently an owner of a Garrett Ace 350 and have found many items with this detector in about one and a half year season. I got hooked on the second trip to the beach with the bosses DFX. I hated my Garrett Ace 350 with the DD coil for the first month it really took some getting used to after using strictly concentric coils ever. I do have some metal detecting history from my childhood. I purchased my own detector when I was around fourteen. I realy didn't enjoy using the Garrett until I bought the pro pointer for fast recovery. I probably found 20 silver items 1 gold oldest coin 1700' s favorite Indian 1864 vf condition tons of clad about a hundred last year and about two hundred this year. The Garret Ace 350 just dosen't find the gold it is surely a good coin machine though. I just have a feeling that I've gone over gold and missed with the 350.

there is a member here critterhunter I believe is his screen name. If you search his screen name and whites quantum 2 or qxt metal detectors you will find probably the absolute best info on the internet about the whites quantum series of metal detectors. I have had a couple of them come through my posession and I guess the best way to put it is, the quantum metal detectors is a very good metal detector that is a little more user friendly than the XLT. It also has a sizing function and if you learn how to use it, it will avoid alot of unwanted beer can type targets. It is a very nice step up from your gta 350. Good luck, Tim
