Garrett 250

Hey Everyone,

First post....so here it goes. I've had great success with my Garrett 250 with stock coil starting with the real cheap price at a Pawn shop. Almost new condition.. And since then, many, many targets (coins, GOLD chain). But here's the question, what have I left behind with the existing coil ? Could adding a newer coil add to my finds? For example, if the newer coil could attach to the control unit, would that enhance its searching capabilities? And what coils would you suggest? The next machine will be a Garrett AT PRO, or a Minelab Sov. GT. I do water hunts now with my Minelab Excal Blue Tube. Love this one too!

I got the sniper coil and TRIPLED my finds-mostly because my sites have benches, playgrounds, fences, sidewalks, etc. BTW, welcome!

And if you go with the large 9" x 12" coil.......you can cover a large area such as a soccer field in a shorter time due to it's larger size, and also squeeze a little more depth out of it.

There's no doubt that a Sniper or a larger coil would pay for itself in no time. The Ace will pay for your Pro.

I've done well with the stock coil (which I use 95% of the time) but the sniper has bailed me out several times when I hit a cluster (more targets clumped together or under the coil at the same time) so I mark those areas to come back to.
