Hello Bowser , I have used the 5x8 on mine then traded it off for another big coil , but do have a Sef 8x6 DD coil on mine now so should serve you well . My understanding that the coils that work on the 350 will also work on the 250's so should not be a problem . I'm not very crazy about the dd coils on the garrett ace series detectors myself as they seem to love Bottle caps if your detecting a spot with a lot of them , both the 5x8 dd and the sef I use now have that problem , if I am hunting a spot that doesn't have a lot of bottle caps then it will work just fine as thats the only problems I have had with them on the Ace detectors . Hope this helps a little bit .
