WHEN i swing the detector its like it picks up every think in one sweep!
it gets hard to determine what is what,IF two targets are close to gather,THERE to hard to dig,CANT tell what I'm digging,.CAN any one help know something i can do,its with out a drought the deeps detector Ive owned,I was in a old school yard, I dug a silver dime at about 11 1/2 inches,I didn't dig some of the targets that were 12inches,or more!!!!ANY HELP !!!!!!!:lmfao:

Slow down your swing and swing the detector in a smaller pattern or shorten the swing run it in zero mode and listen to the sounds. You may hear low tones and maybe a short bell tone. Try to zero in on the bell tone in short faster swings and pinpoint it when you get closer to the bell tone target. I found good targets in junk that way it works well. It will take a little time to master it but once you catch on you find more goodies. Also if the trash is heavy turn down your sensitivity a little. A sniper coil would also work great for that type of hunting.

Turn your sensitivity down. It sounds like you might be running your machine unstable. Also, notch out ALL the targets and swing the coil. If you are still getting too many targets, you have an electrical problem with either the wiring or coil. Also press and hold the on button. This will reset the detector to default (factory setting) and also eliminate the problem. If non of these work, call the factory..... http://www.garrett.com/contact.asp

One trick is to slowly raise the coil an inch or two at a time, then repeat while slowing down the swing.
raising the coil is similiar to lowering the sensitivity.
this will also reduce the cone beneath the coil, which means you are looking at a smaller circular area.
if you have multiple targets at varying depths, you will be able to pinpoint the surface targets first.
i try not to make changes to my settings if the detector is picking up targets and pinpointing the locations.
