THE garrett 1500,is what out a dought a very good detector.I have had it for about 4 months, now. I have found a ring with it.IT defornetly:thumbup: gets more depth than the DFX!!!!

ive had my 1500 for two weeks now.i really like the machine.are there any suggestions for getting the old deep coins.

Not all old coins are deep. That is a myth unless they have been buried by hand, storm, flood, or landfill. I've found old coins ( including one from the 1700's ) buried from two inches to eight inches and everywhere in between. Coins don't automatically sink as they get older. Your 1500 will find them, all you have to do is pass the coil over them.

Bill.
