Garrett 1350 vs Minelab Soverign Elite

Question for some wisemen...I am exactly one week away from buying either a Garrett 1350 or a Minelab Sovereign Elite. I need advice on which to purchase. I know I'm in the Garrett forum...but I have seen other posts and you guys seem pretty thorough in your explanations. Please let me know why you prefer one over the other. Thanks for your help.

The Garrett 1350 is a fantastic machine for coins. The Sovereign is a great relic machine, but not as good for coins. The Sovereign likes halos around coins, and may lose depth and sensitivityin freshly ploughed fields. The 1350 with a large coil will continue to find the coins in a freshly plowed field. The Sovereign will be more stable in/on salt water beaches.
So, if you are going to look for lots of coins and jewellry, go with the 1350. The Sovereign might be better for relics. However, rumor has it that Garrett will be coming out with a relic machine later on this year, so if you buy a Sovereign, you might miss a great opportunity on buying a Garrett relic machine. Good luck with whatever you buy. No machine does it all. Enjoy the hobby! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

Thanks Gentlemen, your info helps. I think I'll just wait a couple of months and just buy a GTI-2500. Limitations suck. Too bad, I needed a new hobby NOW! Such is life.
