Garrett 1350 - roman silver

I notice Garrett machines are not the biggest sellers over here in the UK these days, i suggest some folks give them a try.
I normally use an XP goldmaxx, a Machine i doubt is available in the States, you know whats its like, i had to try a back up and wanted some thing a little different.
I took the 1350 to a field that has produced over 30 hammered silver coins during the last 8 years from Edward 1st to Charles 1st, and things are now very quite. I set the Garrett in custom mode with 3 discrim blocks taken out, 2 at the low end plus the very last one on the scale, i find this helps with some of the slightly bigger iron, Tone Id on and a high signal tone.
Within 15 minutes i had found the first Silver Roman coin to come off the field and over the next two hours 4 Roman bronze small coins along with the normal Victorian pennies, roman silver was only around 4 inches deep but a clean and clear signal.
I cant stress how pleased iam at the moment with this machine, luck don't hold for ever and i will get many blank hours but what a good start from a machine i wish i had bought a few years back.
I will upload a few pictures shortly. BAZ

Really looking forward to the pics. That 1350 should continue to produce for you. I field tested the prototype and the production model for it and it's quite a surprising machine.

I used it for a whole year and found 157 silver coins

Ive been using one for a while now an I like it. I started with the 1000 and now have the 1350.

Thats a good haul of silver coins john, hope i could match that some day.
Fields over here tend just to hold a few artefacts and coins rather than the amount of coinage you guys can pick up from the areas you hunt.
ahope i can get out this weekend and give the 1350 another run, only second time out so fingers crossed. BAZ

cheers bill for the reply, when i get some bloody time i will get the pics up and hopefully take the 1350 out for another search. Baz
