Garrett 1/4" Headphone Adapter

Can anyone tell if the Garrett 1/4" Headphone Adapter is waterproof where it connects to the detector? I know the 1/4" plug side in not waterproof.

Yes, most assuredly it would be...I am fixing on making one out of the headphone connector from my original AtPro land use headphones and a 1/4" female socket, and am gonna run a relatively long lead so the plug in socket stays as high and dry as I can get it, up behind the elbow...I use the blue headphones now, but would like to rig up an alternative jack like you are looking for..for sure where it attaches to the detector box will be waterproof...
