Garret 350

Active member
My nephew has just bought a basic Garret 350 as his first detector.
Can anyone let me know about any settings he can use as a first timer, or any other information you can give him, as I know nothing about this machine.
Thank you all.

Have him use the factory coin setting for the first 10 hours at least! If he is looking for coins, he may want to dig every target in order to learn what targets make certain signals.

I used mine in the coins mod and left it I found some neat old coins with it. it well go very deep and is a great detector, I hope he finds lots of neat stuff good luck and happy hunting

I would have to agree with the above posts, keep it in coin to start. It would help to make a small test plot and bury a few coins to pinpoint and dig.
