Garett propointer protection

i will have to take a couple pics, but there are so many different type of grips you can get. i bought 2 balck grips for 6 bucks at walyworld
 
I would think the grip would not conform to the fin and would let in dirt. Also you would lose the thickness of the grip in depth.
 
i saw a post where someone said they used plastidip. i would imagine that would work good as well.
 
I spray the bottom end of mine with Rustoleum bedliner spray and the top half with bright yellow Krylon paint (The yellow helps protect it from getting lost :thumbup:).
 
Does the bike handle make the unit any longer overall? Something I wish garret would do is make the housing an inch or two longer. There are some roots, and or holes (in the woods) you really have to get under and in with and sometimes the unit seems a little short that way. CO
