Gardner Camp!

I spent 51/2 hours in and around the Gardner camp yesterday. Got two dozen more bullets and a couple brass items. Still no buttons!!! I spent an hour or so trying to find the limits of the camp and the results were disappointing. I was hoping for regimental or larger but it looks to be company size or smaller. Everything was inside an area about 100

all and all Don, thats still very interesting to me . hoping one of these days with retirement coming up i could hunt down in virginia.

Don that is still fantastic finds in my book. I finally found a round ball and two fired ones in my neck of the woods last week. My first ones ever! Also found 5 colonial buttons, LC's, nails etc...

What is the round flat thing, large cent?? You say that you are going to set up for buttons, what settings do you use? Are you using stock coil? I use ferrous, IM 13-14, deep on, fast off and can get sens @29+ in my cellar hole area I'm working. It is a super clean area! Any relic hunting tips you can share may help me get that great find. I'm new to relic hunting and still learning. I have a 5" coil on the way, I can't wait.

Hes probably working around trash or whatever, and is going to do what the explorer was made to do, remember an item.I do this all the time in va. ill take a button coins bullets set my sens to 1 so as not to pick up anything else go to learn mode choose a cursor size and scan each item into the2s memory and then save it in s1-6 that way all youll find is that paticuallr item its not always perfect but it does work,youll have your own search pattern go over cans junk the machine will run silent found many a minne ball this way and buttons ,learn how to program the 2 its quite fun and you can edit it as well. I do all this at home in my room before I go out especially if I know theres alot of trash and have time limitations, if its there it will sound.
