gamma 6000 and tones

i got a gamma 6000 a wile back bcouse it had tones and vdi the depth is good as well it has all metal and will id targets in all metal but i realy like the tones i can go with 1 tone 2 3 4 tones i think the gamma is over looked it has a 1/8 headphones and 1/4 jack so take a look at the tones a let me know your thoughts hh





4. # OF TONES
While the # OF TONES line is highlighted, use and to program the
number of different audio tones.
Different target categories are identified by different audio tones in order to give
you the fastest real-time reference while searching. Most experienced users
become familiar with the tones and search without always looking at the display.
Use this selection to program the number of audible tones the detector
will emit.
The default setting is 3 tones.
Depending on your
number of tones
selection, audio target categories are:.
# tones
....iron.....foil..nickel..pull...scap..zink..dime..qtr
1 *VCO VCO VCO VCO VCO VCO VCO VCO
2 Bass VCO VCO VCO VCO VCO VCO VCO
3 Bass Low ..Low .Low ..Low ..Low .High .High

some of my finds the ring .925 earing is 18k gold ..outher ring is JUNK
 
Sounds alot like the T2 tones. I prefer using one or two tones.

i like to coin hunt and like the nickel med tone so i use 4 tones if i relic hunt i would use 2 tones and 3 tones to pick for silver .. i have found more nickels with the gamma and win this snow goes away look out nickels

yea i seen the ad good deal and a stand up fella to boot ... i have had gti 2500 a g2 ..f2 ..gerrett 550 ..the outlaw ...the vaquero..the fisher1270..compadre..ace 350..golden umax..and the gamma 6000 witch i think is a keeper i like it a lot
 
I think i would like the 6000 to if i didn,t have the others to deal with. I have 8 detectors now. For some reason my wife like the 4000 better, that is what she uses now. I had a 4000 that did very good on the beach and in the water at the beach, but gave it away to a friend that needs to get out of the house. This one don,t hunt good in the salt water, it dose good on the dry sand but even the wet sand it won,t work. I guess the auto ground balance is off, but wife likes it for park hunting, and it dose a good job. Flintstone
