My son and I went back to Alberta Beach today... We were only there for maybe 1 1/2 hours when the largest lightning storm rolled in. So........... we bailed. Just in time.. The rain came is such sheets that thevisibility was down to only a few yards.

However, in that short time, we did manage to find a few goodies. Two gold rings, one gold bracelet and a ss ring

Maybe tomorrow, we will try once again.

the weather leaves you alone. Gotta give those lightning storms a lot of caution. Did you ever get the battery on the dive unit working again?

thunder storms are all too common there from early June through July. We were at the cottage there for a few days one June and fishing walleye, it was awesome there in those days (60's). A lightening storm came up fast and i had an aluminum 15 ft boat. The electrical charge was dancing on the rails of the boat and terrified us!
I ran it onto the beach at about 10 miles per hour and we all bailed and sought cover, one of the scariest moments of our lives!
