Rolladex

Member
Found the other day and have no idea what it was used for and how old is it? I have never seen a cap like that one before help. Thank for looking any help would be appreciated.

i had one just like this it had the same top but held a cork an the the wire wrapped around the neck to keep from losing it my mom told me it was an old moon shiners jar an they also use to make old wine in them too . but im not an expert so please dont take that to heart.

Rolex whats on the bottom , that may tell us how old it is but my guess late 1920,s early 30,s

Rolladex,

Bleach used to come in similar bottles/jugs (not all were embossed "Clorox" or "Purex"). I saw some once when helping an elderly lady clean up her garden shed some 30 years back. Whatever it contained, I definitely believe the brown color was meant to keep the contents from degrading (maybe that was already obvious to you).

Good luck and happy hunting!

Batch

I have an old Roman Cleanser bottle that looks like that without the cap. Also my bottle is embossed Roman Cleanser
