Gain and Sensitivity on the F75

From page 22 of the Fisher World Treasure News, where it speaks about gain and sensitivity, I'm under the impression, "since turning down the sensitivity on my F75 also reduces the volume of the audio response" that the sensitivity setting controls both the gain and sensitivity. This would explain why a silver quarter at 6" deep would give a wider than normal response at high sensitivity settings.
