G2 serial number

My insurance folks pitched a fit today because I had not provided them with the serial number on my G2 Guess what? I have no idea where to find the number. Can somebody give me a clue? They said they couldn't insure it without a number. Cracks me up that they are so clueless. They were mad that I hadn't given them the company name or model number on the Teknetics G2. Hmmm, it almost seems like I must have or they couldn't have used that in their heading to complain I hadn't given it to them. Hope you guys can point me in the right direction.

Thanks, Don

G2's don't have S/N's (I'm serious).----It's kissin cousin the Fisher GB Pro has S/N's though as does the Tek T2's.----My dealer told me "just don't loose the sales receipt" (for the G2).

In some ways I feel better. I had really looked it over and couldn't find a number. In other ways I feel worse since my insurance company had cancelled my rider yesterday since I failed to provide them with the name, model number and serial number. Pretty clear cut case of a clueless company since they used the name and model number to inform me they were bailing out. The other machine I had provided the number, which is the same on the coil, control, and headphones. They insisted they needed the serial number for the headphones. Seems they are so dumb I am not sure I should have chosen them at all. Their letter made me hot enough to call and leave a pretty strongly worded response. May call them every day or two and tell them what I think just for entertainment. Thanks, again for the information. I am pretty sure they wouldn't write it down, read it back, or believe it if I provided it.

Who is your insurance company? As far as the G-2 having no serial number you do need to mark the machine some place for identification in the event of a theft.

battery compartment. On the side of the battery slot there is a sticker with the serial number.

I know that First Texas/Teknetics asks for a copy of the sales receipt to verify that you are the original purchaser for warranty work, but I thought the G2 didn't have a serial number, just as the Greek series models. Well, I sent my personal G2 in because they sent it to me as a prototype to check out and it read Gold Bug when I turned it on instead of G2. They fixed that and checked it out, but the return repair letter mentioned that I didn't include a serial number.

Well, I looked at a couple of G2's I have in stock and, sure enough, there is a serial number sticker inside the battery housing.

Must be something they are now doing as my G2 a 1.0 software has no sticker as well.

Ya got that right godigit!----We had two G2's and they DEFINITELY DIDN'T have any S/N in the battery compartment or anywhere else.----Interesting what you said---ours was the version 1.0's also.----Maybe they have used S/N's on the G2's since then.---Our (version 1.0) G2's didn't have S/N's, we purchased them new at the end of the year 2010.
