G2 Rocks Big Time!!!!

Well, my faith in this detector keeps getting better day by day. I favor the G2 over my F75. Today the G2 has produced two awesome finds in my neighbor's yard; a large sterling men's ring and a buffalo nickel, not to mention a pile of clad and a few wheat pennies. I have been over this yard many times with a Minelab X-terra 305, Minelab Sovereign GT, and also the more recent Tesoro Vaquero which has been sold in favor of this G2. Their yard is infested with iron and all of the previous detectors missed these goodies. Iron Disc on the G2 was set to 30. I could here all the nails, etc right next to these targets. A Jefferson Nickel had a nail directly beneath it, wow!!!!

This detector is simply amazing and a heck of a lot of fun to use!!!!! I just wish it did not eat the 9V batteries so quickly. I need to get a rechargeable system.

Oh Yeah, and did I mention that the G2 goes very deep. The Buffalo was at 9 inches measured. Most of the clad was at 6 to 8 inches. The sterling ring was also deep. This is very close to being on par with the F75. The VDI is very accurate; more so than the F75 at depth. They key to all this is that I went very slowly and listened for the faint whispers. Deep coins had a very narrow response but the VDI was 100% correct, amazing.

I read from time to time that the G2 (Gold bug DP for me) isn't deep but it has proven to be the best machine I've used in my soil. Easier to use than my F75 and much better in iron trash. My favorite machine for sure. I'm about to try some new technology with the Deus or CTX 3030 but the bar is set pretty high with the GB DP.

Very good observations...it IS a deep machine, surprisingly, and the VDI is HIGHLY accurate -- on par with the best machines I've ever used (yes, MUCH more accurate, on deeper targets, than my experience with the F70/F75 units...)
