G2 question...

I don't see a sensitivity knob but I hear people refer to a sensitivity setting.
Is it in a menu somewhere?

It is the knob on the left. When hunting in the discrimination mode this knob (gain) becomes sensitivity. The higher the setting the deeper the machine will respond to targets, and is more sensitive to smaller targets. When hunting in all-metal this same adjustment becomes your gain. So are you saying there is no gain when in disc. or is it that I have to go to AM to adjust the gain and that adjustment remains when I go back to disc.?
Thanks,
Neal

Usually, they are referring to the same function of adjusting the Gain or Sensitivity. Some top-end brands do use a reference to the Sensitivity of the different modes and also have a Pre-Amp Gain or Rx Gain or use the term Signal-Balance, but that's for a separate setting for only part of the receive signal (sort of) on those models.

The G2 and T2 and other Teknetics models, or those from Fisher, might use either term but they have the same function.
