G2 - Frozen in but tempted to go out and play

My new G2 was on the truck today. I have played in the house but boy would I like to go outside. I have a place that is close that will be perfect to try the G2. I guess I don't have to dig, I just have to hear. I am anxious to go across the iron field and see if any good signals sneak into hearing range. My first thoughts are that this thing is going to be really good in iron. It doesn't seem as deep on some of the normal targets so I think listening closely to those faint signals is a key. It screamed on my gold ring so I think my gold odds might get better though. It also high toned on the dime I waved past it with a nail and a small piece of iron in my hand. Not digging goes against the grain, but if it hears there will be a lot of time to dig later.

Wow! Finds like that would make you want to set a big fire. Those are dream coins anytime. We had a little break in the weather ten days or so ago. I got out, but didn't have the G2 yet.
Let's hope Winter gives us another break or two before Spring.
