G2 finds small gold and silver

Got up early and headed for the north side of Houston Friday morning, left at 6:15am and was able to beat the heavy traffic. When I got to the lake I talked to the gate keeper and he said 2-3 guys had been hunting there almost everyday for the last couple of weeks, sure hated hearing that. And he was right, these guys left holes all over the dry lake bed (swimming area), so I filled them in as I went. They cleaned it our pretty good but still managed to find about $4 in clad, 70 lead sinkers, 14K Italy St. Mary's medal and a Mexican rosary .925 so it wasn't a wasted day after all. The fishing piers are all out of the water but lots of rocks underneath, had trouble scanning with the big coil, I will go back in a couple of weeks and I will use the small 5" coil. Thanks for looking. John

Nice finds John,
Hope next time is just as good!
