G2 Civil War Relic ID Numbers

Active member
I haven't done any relic hunting. So, if I'm looking for buttons, bullets, buckles, breast plates and other artifacts from the civil war era, what ID numbers should I be digging?

Any help and tips will be appreciated.

Any number above 40 and some above 30.

I found cuff buttons and pistol bullets starting at 56, most 3 ringers are in the high 60's all the way up to the mid 70's. Smaller brass and lead will be in the foil range around 40. I have my disc at 35 and dig everything above that.............Mark

In my soil, standard 3 ringers run 75-80, smaller caliber bullets run 60's to low 70's. I have found 2 plates with my G2 both were shallow and were low 80's.
