G2 and Gold Bug DP

Neil

Well-known member
Just to make sure, these two are the same detector except for the rod design? Is this correct?

I wonder what was FT move on this ??? I can understand having a new nugget machine but why two ? I wish they would have put the CZ-20/21 target line on the G2. Maybe Fishers new multi Freq machine there working on will be close.

Labeling and marketing is a science and an art. Why do people buy brands with loyalty? We just do. If using two names sells 10 or 15% more product, what the heck, why not? Sure all Teknetics and BH could be rolled into one brand, but at what cost to sales? We all know who and where they are from, so what's the deal? I want a G2 I buy Tek. I want a GBP I go Fisher. What does it matter to me whose name is on my tools? I just want them to work.
So why do I feel like a traitor using a Garrett pin pointer?

nugnuts-----Ken in Georgia is anything but a rookie.---He's a VERY experienced detectorist.---They were just joking around when they made that statement.-----Listen to Ken (and some other "old timers"), and you can't go wrong!

No such thing as a silly or stupid question only the ones you DON'T ASK!! So ask away, were glad to help since some of us can't hunt since the ground is too frozen here till springtime.

True Tom, and D&P,

We love to help and if you get stuck just post a question. I love the G2, and DP and Pro from Fisher. Even help a buddy buy his, I liked it so much. He sometimes hunts to close to me, and I have to move him. But never the less, he's hunting. Thanks for the comments. I love this Forum too.
