G2 and Excal

John(Tx)

New member
Since the G2 hits hard on gold has anyone compared the G2 vs the Excal in the wet salt sand for gold rings, not coins? Thanks....HH

I have both and both are very good machines but in my opinion there is nothing that compares to the Excal when it comes to beach hunting in or out of the water. The G-2 is light and fun to use and has suprised me on it's ability to find targets in trash and areas that have been hunted for decades and will lock on to gold just like it was designed to do but at the beach my choice is the Excallibur. Like I say just my opinion. HH :minelab::teknetics:

Hey Hershey, I feel the same way you do, I love using my Excal, just wanted to see if anyone had any opinions either way, I will never sell my Excal. Next time I hit the beach and get a deep mid-low tone, I will then compare the G2 w/11" coil to see if any difference. HH John
