yes it did thanks i had a Tesoro Vaquero with a 10x12 coil and it was deeper than the g2 i was thinking that the 13" coil might give a little boost in depthmarkg said:I can not say for the G2, but I bought one for my Etrac and found very little if any depth difference, but noticed it felt heavy compared to the stock coil. Your ground will be the deciding factor in performace. If the sink rate is slow and you have the red clay dirt then the Ultimate will not provide any performace boost. The stock coil on the G2 is the same as the Gold Bug Pro coil (which I'm using right now) and unless you are hunting in very clean areas the Ultimate is not worth the extra money. Now if you are in an area where the sink rate of coins is fast and you are in a trash free area then the Ulitmate might, I'll say again might add a little depth. On the other side of depth is masking issues and regardless of the advertisements (about the Ultimate 13 coil) the stock coil or smaller is the only solution, not a larger coil. Hope this helps.

Was the coil on the Tesoro a Double-D or Concentric design? The detectors can naturally work differently, but so can the coil performance. If you're comparing a 'concentric' 10X12 to a Double-D 7razerback408 said:i had a Tesoro Vaquero with a 10x12 coil and it was deeper than the g2 i was thinking that the 13" coil might give a little boost in depth

ha thanks for the input a man just cant get by with one dector can hegmanlight said:morelic is correct to a point . The GBs are not the deepest machines out there , so if you want the deepest another machine might be better.
With that said the 13 is deeper in the one test i did in dry sand .
A Nickle taped to a 10,5 inch piece of PVC pipe. The 11 DD would not hit it but the 13 did.
I did not test to see how much less the 11 was.
I have not hunted much this summer but have had no problems swinging for long hunts. at the beach and in fields.
It hits well on small targets and ID is within a digit or two of other coils .
Great for open area hunts.
great bill keep me posted if you will of your use with 13" coil thankssekypaleo said:I just obtained the 13" Ultimate coil for G2 and only had about 30 minutes to try it out, so this is the only thing I can report so far. I took it to a wooded site that has moderate mineralization. The stock 11" coil ground balanced at 72...the 13" coil ground balanced at 53. Strange? I got a signal with the Ultimate coil that gave solid numbers in non ferrous range but the audio and pinpoint told me it was a very tiny target. I then put the 11" back on and swept the same spot...the signal now was alternating ferrous (iron) and non-ferrous with numbers jumping all over the place. Target turned out to be a 22 bullet at 5". So...it shows me that the 13" coil has no problem seeing very small targets and locked on correctly. I feel that depth should be slightly better than stock...guessing about 1" deeper....should know more in about 3 weeks. Bill
i am thinking the 13" coil will bring out the best in th g2gmanlight said:Took the 13 out last night to a park. ID was spot on with Nickles at . 58 .
Depth meter was right there with 3 Wheaties at 7 inches in the dry dirt.
Cant say on the Ground Bal. i did not bring another coil to check.
Also hit well on some small targets.

i just needed feed back on the 13" coil ha ask my ex wife 2 more " in detph is inportentgmanlight said:It may be true , better too know one machine very well than too know several machines a little
but a simple coil change can be huge.
Small coil in trash and big coil in open space.
I don't know of one machine that does everything well.
Some are better in iron, some in trash , other on silver and others on small gold.
wow thats big coil i would like to know more my selfrockpup1 said:I have seen NEL coils in UK for sale- one was 15x17 for g2.I think the forum no like the mention of these coils but I would be intrested in the depth of one of these.
