I just purchased this machine and would like to know if the crossfire coils will work on this machine.

I am 99% sure that the Garrett Crossfire Coils won't fit. The operate on a different frequency and have a positive buoyancy.

King Cobra was made by Garrett like the shadow x2 made by Tesoro...The old garrett coils work on the cobra and just wanted to know about the crossfire.

Hey Candycane: I am late but you are all wrong about who made the Gold Mountain King Cobra. Garrett did not make it. You would have to have been detecting many years to know much about Gold Mountain detectors. They were made by Gold Mountain in DeSoto,Tx. Which is the same county as Garrett.Gold Mouintain had several owners. The last was in DeSoto,Tx. They went out of business many years ago. I have been to both factories years ago.....Jack
