G 500 detector

[Flintstone]

I know this detector is a police detector, but someone said that if i could get face plate for it it would work like a GTA 550. Is this right? I sent Garrett a email to see how much they are but have not here form them. If anyone knows anything about this detector please help me. Thanks much Dean
