g-2/gold bug pro/dp 13" ultimate coil users feedback?

looking for people that have put some time in on this coil and opinions please is it worth the money? whats the actual gain in real world situations in average bad soil conditions and so on, have every coil for my g-2 except this one?

I've used it a number of times on the beach and I've found jewelry every time out with my GBP. I've got a 5x10 DD elliptical on the way. Looking forward to seeing how the two compare.

See Bills (sekipaleo) field test 9/12. About a 2 inch gain over the stock coil reported. This is almost a 25% gain over the stock coil. Well worth the investment in my opinion. I just got one, but I havent worked with it yet. Reports are that the Ultimate 13 DD coil is also more stable, better grounding, and have better target response than the stock coil. I cant wait to try mine out. I might actually find something worthwhile. The only downside to these Ultimate 13's is that they are hard to find/get.

thank you mass/salt, yeah i tried to find that publication and for some reason just wouldn't show itself but yeah i will like to hear your results and i'm sure your in mass and the dirt probably isn't that much different then maines so yeah will be looking forward on how you make out!

It's not a publication, I have several posts in this forum of my in the field results with the Ultimate coil. In my soil about 1 & 1/2" to 2" depth increase. I will say the Ultimate has not come off my G2 since I got it. Standard 58 cal minie balls to 9-10"...not bad!

I found the main field test on page 3 of this forum, here ya go...

Well i meant posts so sorry for the interpretation of that and thank you very much for your report on your coil, have you found any deep silver, within 10"?

Not really a coin hunter...90% CW relics is my thing. I dug a seated half dime at a CW camp site that was 7" down with stock 11" coil....signal was barely a signal...honestly would have passed it up had it not been for digging relics all around it...so dug it out of curiosity. I think (no I know) the Ultimate would have seen it no problem.

would it be possible to help me and point me to a web site where i can by the 13"ultimate coil...thank u in advance...

I am running it on my F75 SE for hunting tailing piles. Same coil works on my Gold Bug Pro but I get a bit better depth with the F75 in all metal boost mode running this coil than I get with my Gold Bug Pro. I will be doing a lot of tailing pile hunting again this summer with the combo.

Steve how does using the 13* coil do with hot rocks and trash in the tailing piles since it is such a big coil? I have a gold bug se the 2.9 model with a 5 and the 5x10 inch coil and I am leaving for northern California to detect for the summer and I am wondering if the larger coil might be too much for an inexperienced person as far as being overwhelmed with false signals? Maybe I should stick with the smaller coils until i get used to detecting and the area.
