I was hunting Gold nuggets yesterday, and I hit a great signal Everything lined up perfect. I had to move about 10 big river rocks. I was chinking away at the ground with my shovel cause it was pure river rock and gravel. I dug and dug. But the signal just stayed in the ground. Finally about a foot and a half down I finally found it A big beautiful well aged leaf spring. Oh yeah I cant forget the tree I stepped on to hold it down with my left foot well stepping over it with my right foot. My left foot slipped off in midstep and the tree decided to stand back up. I will let your imagination figure out the rest. I can only say it didnt feel very good. No Nuggets that day but I finished the day catching 5 Nice Red Salmon so I ended the day on a good note. Oh the joys of metal detecting in Alaska Backcountry.
Only got mosquito bit twice 100% deet and a headnet. Works good for me, and the bear didnt attack. Allright.
