Fun in the Sun

Since there isn't a lot happening on the forum lately due to the winter season and frozen ground. I thought that I would give you winter bound guys something to look forward to.

I went to Phoenix yesterday on my day off and did a little relaxing detecting. It was an absolutely beautiful, sunny, 70 degree day. Short sleeves, cigar, and a Sam Adams (o.k. two :pinnochio). The house is my parents place where I grew up in North Central Phoenix. Built in the early 50s. Irrigated lawns that form plugs like butter.... Heaven.

No old relics but lots of coins as the CoRe proves it's also a great coin hunter....

Total coin finds. Mixed bag of clad and some odd copper point (old lawn dart point?). The two coins to the right are a 1956 Mexican Diaz Centavos and a 1956 wheatie.

The Diaz Centavo is a nice looking coin, unfortunately, I scratched it :(. The house was built in an old citrus orchard and I believe that the coin may have been dropped by a migrant laborer while picking citrus many moons ago.

Keep your spirits high! Spring is right around the corner!! HH
