Fun Fun Fun - Va Beach surf hunt

We made it and had a blast. Although we didn't find much the fun was there! The weather called for rain and wind with scattered thunderstorms all weekend but when we showed up at Max's house Saturday, the sun came out. The weather was great from that point on.... go figure! When we left I heard Tim reporting the beach had sanded in.

Walt broke his lower shaft pin lock so the coil was spinning around inside the balance shaft. I managed to bend my balanced shaft because it's a 2 piece travel shaft. I'm definiatly headed to he hardware store for the fiberglass rake!

When we met up with Big Rich and the infamous and elsusive Walt. Walt had two find bags but only showed what was in the right bag. The left bag is a secret. In the sand Walt drew "15.2 oz gold". I think he was trying to say he dug that since Thursday. Considering who he is I would not be suprised.

Here's the spin down the lane... (Max's Camera and Max's 9lb Scoop)

Glad you guys had a great time this past weekend and I am sorry I did not get to see you but my truck blew a serpentine belt Sat afternoon so I did not hunt anymore this week end. Hope to catch you next trip.

Steve and Bia:
Glad to see you had a good time at the beach. Weather was not the best and conditions could have been bette: however, remember, a bad day detecting is always better than a good day at work. Glad to have the 2 of you and the kids as part time members of the Virginia Beach Surf Pirates. See you the next time. Arrrrrrrr................

Now that I am a workking man I have to watch the time however, I was getting home to hit the surf lane on monday am. I should have stayed in bed. It was rainy, windy and the lane was sanded in about two foot more than it was the day befor. But, as I said befor , we still got good sea food here in Virginia Beach..
