Found in the wet sand
Picture is the necklace found the same night.

I avoid going deep most of the time unless it's a big minus tide night (always read the tide predictions.) I stay close to the
dry sand and follow the receding tide working the wet sand like mowing a lawn. I drag my digger in the wet
sand behind me in order to see where I've been. On moonless nights I just give it my best guess. I detect a
beach where the tide goes way out...it's a blessing.
It's little dangerous on the beach at night. Over the years, I've had to threaten a few people with my digger.
I never initiate a conversation and if people ask me what I've found, I tell them "just small change."
Thought my luck had run out one night. A very bright moon helped two guys on bikes spot me. They
made a straight line for me. It was tense. They stopped and stared at me for about 5 seconds at close range.
Finally, the biggest one of the two said "would you like a beer?"
