From the land of the Bluenose.....Otto purred down the highway to exit 8 heading for the annual Lerue Family Picnic/washer tournament in Elmsdale. Marie was ready having made a super pineapple chicken salad that was added to the countless other dishes that her 50 some odd relatives had brought for the gathering of the clan. I was full just looking at all the grub which I'm sure could have fed the whole crew aboard the HMCS Bonaventure which was decommisioned years back ....something like I was after overeating bigtime and bowing out in the first round of the washer tournament. (Rather then post all the photos of that here is a link if you care to view. May have to cut and paste.)

After waddling out to the car and dropping off Marie, sister and her friend I headed out to a local school that has been very good to me in the past and too boot is only 10 minutes from home.

Wasn't expecting to reach my quota but was just enjoying the "down time" after the heptic day. Was mildly surprised by the amount of coins I pulled out in the 40 minutes as I have hammered this field unmercifully over the past few years. I was even more surprised when I pulled this little puppy with it's little diamond!

Bugs were eating me alive so I called it a day and waddled once again to Otto who seemed to dip a bit on the driver's side when I got it. Whether it was me or Otto nursing his wound I'll never know. Take for the day was the diamond ring and 30 coins @ $7.78.....thank goodness for loonies and twoonies!

Arriving home excited Marie tried it on and it didnt fit so I put it in it's new home with it's buddies!

...you always amaze and delight with your tales, bud.

I like the "ring rope" you have there.

That ring is a cutie my bud. Nice collection also. How many you got on there. I haven't counted mine in some time but think it's about 300 or so. I've been in a ring drought for awhile so I'm way overdue.
